Our Mission

​To rescue, rehabilitate, and Rehome Arabian horses at risk of shipping to slaughter.

Our primary focus is intercepting horses at our local auction as well as through our Owner Surrender Program. Our rescue and rehabilitation program focuses on the whole horse.  Our goal is to prepare our horses to be solid riding partners and if physically they are unable to be ridden, we prepare them for life as companion horses.

STELLA

This beautiful mare has been physically rehabilitated with us. She struggles with anxiety, and needs more time and groundwork before beginning under saddle training. We believe in Stella, and believe that healing happens on the horse's timeline, not ours. We know that this special mare has a bright future ahead - stay tuned for updates! #AHREStella

bakari

Bakari is a true black Morgan / Arabian cross gelding, with a history as a riding horse. He is currently being ridden at the walk - trot and is making good progress. With time, Bakari will make a wonderful trail partner for an intermediate or better rider, who will support him on his journey. He's healthy, sound, sweet, and ready to find his forever adopter! #AHREBakari

PERCY

Percy is an incredibly good natured, smart and sweet gelding. He will be started under saddle soon and will make a wonderful riding partner! Percy is just a doll! Stay tuned for updates! #AHREPercy
