HORSES AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

Rescued horses make great adoptions. We thoroughly evaluate our adoptable horses and make sure that we match them up with an adopter who is experienced at the level of the horse. The main objective when determining if an adopter would be best suited for a specific horse is that expectations must meet realization. The expectations of the adopter for the horse must be able to be realized by the horse. To apply to adopt one of our available rescue horses, complete and submit the form below. Adoption fees vary depending on overall expenses and prospects for each horse.

Foster

If you want to help a rescued horse, but don't want the responsibility of horse ownership, then fostering a rescued horse for Arabian Horse Rescue & Education, Inc, is right for you.  Placing a horse in a foster home, frees up space for another horse in need of rescuing. You as a horse foster will be responsible for providing the daily care of the horse.  If you are able to provide financially for the horse, it is a huge blessing for us and a tax benefit for you.  If not, then we will provide the financial support of the horse.  If you would like to foster one of our horses, please complete and submit the below application.

Horses in Training or Rehabilitation

Our goal is to prepare our horses to be solid riding partners.
Horses physically unable to be ridden are prepared for life as companion horses.

Mazie

Picture
Miss Mazie is a 6 year old, 14.2 hand, Arabian chestnut mare who could possibly be double registered as a pinto. This sweet mare is gaining confidence in preparing for work under saddle. She had a beautiful walk, trot, and canter! Affectionate and kind, yet a little bit shy, she will be a nice English style riding horse (possibly hunt seat).

Fiona

Picture
Fiona is a beautiful 10 year old, 14.2 hand, liver chestnut mare we believe to be a Morgan cross. She is currently nursing her colt Handsome. Fiona came to us malnourished and untouched. Now that she is physically healthy we are working on her being halter broke and will start on the foundational ground work once her colt is weaned. This mare is super athletic and could trot for hours. We believe she could be a good sport horse or endurance prospect for her future partner! Fiona is as wonderfully smart as she is beautiful!

Handsome (Hassan Malik)

Picture
A truly Handsome King this two-month old (May 29th, 2022) colt is! Handsome is sired by Khal and his dam is Fiona. Handsome will be gelded prior to his adoption and will be available once weaned. He will also be halter broke as well as able to be lead, pick up all four hooves, trailer load, learn to be groomed, and dewormed & vaccinated. This colt is a great prospect for multiple disciplines! Adoption Fee $1,000.

Stella

Picture
Absolutely beautiful 13 year old, 15 hand, bay Arabian mare. Stella has been ridden previously. She is currently in rehabilitation overcoming some past event that has left her anxious and nervous. She has come a long ways with relaxing and preparing to start foundational ground work. She will be restarted from the beginning. Besides her beauty she is a true athlete with a lovely floaty trot. She would excel with a one person owner that has patience and is quiet. She is best suited for an advanced intermediate experienced rider. Adoption Fee $1,500.

Flicker

Picture
Flicker is a 7 year old, 14.1 hand, flea bitten gray Arabian mare. She is incredibly beautiful and intelligent, as well as young and eager to learn. She has a good solid foundation of ground work on her. She is available for adoption to an experienced individual who is looking to start their own horse. However, while she is with us she will continue to keep learning things including saddle training. Flicker has a very efficient trot and is beautifully put together to preform at the highest levels of endurance. Adoption Fee $1,500.

Grace

Picture
Grace is a 10 year old, 14.2 hand, lovely bay Arabian/Quarter Horse mare. She is a clean slate that is learning all about foundational ground work to prepare for under saddle training. This mare is very willing and intelligent and will progress very naturally and quickly. She is available as a training prospect for an experienced rider/trainer. However, she will begin training under saddle with us after her ground work training is complete. She has an athletic build and can go in different directions. Adoption Fee $1,500.
