HORSES AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

Rescued horses make great adoptions. We thoroughly evaluate our adoptable horses and make sure that we match them up with an adopter who is experienced at the level of the horse. The main objective when determining if an adopter would be best suited for a specific horse is that expectations must meet realization. The expectations of the adopter for the horse must be able to be realized by the horse. To apply to adopt one of our available rescue horses, complete and submit the form below. Adoption fees vary depending on overall expenses and prospects for each horse.

PRINCE

Picture
Prince El Aawar is a beautiful grey 9 year old Arabian gelding. He had an accident 5 years ago resulting in blindness and some deformity of his left eye, but that doesn't slow him down! Prince is really in need of a special person that can dedicate one-on-one time to really build a trusting and lasting relationship with him. He is not started under saddle and will make an amazing project horse for the right person. The right adopter will be experienced and have knowledge of visually impaired horses. They must also truly want to build a bond with Prince and a partnership that will last many many years. Reach out to us for more information! #AHREPrince

DANCER

Picture
Dancer Aj HR WOA Dancer is a 19 years young beautiful Russian bred Arabian with so much to give! 15 hands high with a gentle soul, he has been spending lots of time doing groundwork, desensitizing, and really building his muscle. Our goal is to start riding him this month; we can't wait to see the strides he will make! Dancer is built for endurance, so as we get him going under saddle, we will see if he is fit enough to join a couple short distance rides. #AHREDancer

Foster

If you want to help a rescued horse, but don't want the responsibility of horse ownership, then fostering a rescued horse for Arabian Horse Rescue & Education, Inc, is right for you.  Placing a horse in a foster home, frees up space for another horse in need of rescuing. You as a horse foster will be responsible for providing the daily care of the horse.  If you are able to provide financially for the horse, it is a huge blessing for us and a tax benefit for you.  If not, then we will provide the financial support of the horse.  If you would like to foster one of our horses, please complete and submit the below application.

Horses in Training or Rehabilitation

Our goal is to prepare our horses to be solid riding partners.
Horses physically unable to be ridden are prepared for life as companion horses.

Adorrable PGA "mazie"

Picture
Mazie (Adorabble PGA Foaled 2017) is a 14.2 hand, chestnut rabicano mare who could possibly be double registered pinto. Mazie is gaining confidence in preparing for work under saddle. She has a beautiful walk, trot, and canter! Affectionate and kind, yet a little bit shy, she will be a nice English style riding horse (possibly hunt seat). #AHREMazie

fiona

Picture
Fiona is a beautiful 11 year old, 14.2 hand, liver chestnut mare we believe to be a Morgan / QH cross. Fiona came to us malnourished, abandoned, and unhandled. She has come so far already and is currently in ground training. This mare is super athletic and could trot for hours. We believe she could be a good sport horse or endurance prospect for her future partner! Fiona is as wonderfully smart as she is beautiful! #AHREFiona

doctor pepper "DOC"

Picture
After surviving one of the worst cases of stringhalt we've ever encountered, Doc is not just surviving but thriving! Doc has great ground manners, excels at groundwork and has even been lightly ridden under saddle again. He's a great example of how with good veterinary, hoof, and nutritional care and lots of love, even the direst rescue situation can turn into a happy ending. Doc's life was worthy of a second chance, and he defied the odds thanks to our dedicated team and the generous support of our community! Doc is now 25 years young, and loving life! #AHREDoc

percy

Picture
Percy is an incredibly good natured, smart and sweet gelding. He has really started coming out of his shell lately as our volunteers have been working with him on some one-on-one groundwork training. He will be started under saddle soon and will make a wonderful riding partner! Percy is just a doll! Stay tuned for updates! #AHREPercy
